Almost every reading from the scriptures during Advent speaks of justice. The poetic and forceful words of the Old testament prophets holding out hope to a tormented and persecuted people "....everything will be all right for our God is powerful and He will come among us....and every mountain shall be leveled and the blind will see and the lame leap like a stag."

Oh, how we need these words in our tormented world! The difference now is that the Saviour has come! He is here! Now it is up to us, temples of Him, His face and hands, to level the mountains and to help the blind to see, to lift every yoke and bring peace to the Earth.

Most of all, we must be messengers of Hope with our words and our actions to a people who suffer from meaninglessness without the Lord.
